오늘은 take off 에 대해 알아볼게요.

 

1. take off : (옷 등을) 벗다

 

A : Please take off your shoes.

(신발을 벗어주세요.)

 

B : Oh, don't you wear shoes in the house?

(아, 집안에서는 신발을 안 신나요?)

 

Please take off your hat.

(모자를 벗어주세요.)

 

He took off his coat.

(그는 코트를 벗었다.)

 

He took off his glasses.

(그는 안경을 벗었다.)

 

2. take off : 떠나다

 

He just took off.

(그는 막 떠났어.)

 

He took off yesterday.

(그는 어제 떠났어.)

 

When he saw me coming, he took off in the opposite direction.

(그는 내가 오늘 것을 보고 반대 방향으로 가 버렸어.)

 

3. take off : 이륙하다

 

The plane took off at noon.

(비행기가 정오에 이륙했어.)

 

The plane took off an hour late.

(그 비행기는 한시간 늦게 이륙했어.)

 

The plane took off behind schedule.

(비행기가 일정보다 늦게 이륙했어.)

 

4. take off : ~(동안)을 쉬다

 

I'm taking Monday off.

(나 월요일에 쉬어.)

 

I've decided to take a few days off next week.

(나 다음주에 며칠 쉬기로 했어.)
